The Idea
A modern homecoming inspired by heritage.

Built where early Chinese immigrants once found belonging through clan associations, the hotel invites today’s global travellers to return—not just to a destination, but to a sense of belonging. Through immersive rituals, curated design, and a deeply local narrative, The Clan offers not just a stay, but a warmest homecoming to a foreign land.

Logo exploration

Drawing inspiration from the hotel's entrance, the logo is a modern interpretation of the Chinese character “入,” meaning "to enter." It also echoes the silhouette of a traditional clan house roof—symbolising shelter, comfort, and the sense of belonging The Clan Hotel offers to every guest.

A modern sans-serif typeface was carefully crafted to complement the logomark, striking a balance between elegance and clarity. The colour palette—black, white, and copper—was selected to evoke a sense of understated luxury while mirroring the hotel's architectural façade and interior design.
